Since owning Shine Hair & Beauty in October 2018, it has been Sonia’s passion to bring quality and an environmentally conscious salon to not only the Dungog Shire but beyond. High education and awareness are very forefront at Shine. Client’s intelligence and awareness of what they want/need is valued immensely. It is Sonia’s aim in providing a salon of peace, harmony and a love of all things Hair & Beauty. A sanctuary away from the busy lifestyles that we all live.

Sonia comes from a long career in Administration and Beauty. In 2022 she completed her Scissor Licence under the education of Elite Hair Education and is now actively assisting her staff when needed in cutting/styling Hair. Sonia is a proud member of the Australian Hair Council, Hunter Business Chamber, Dungog District Chamber of Commerce. Is a current sitting Committee member of the Dungog Chamber and was Vice President for 2022.

Senior Stylist

Lauren is our newest member to the Shine Team and brings with her over 19 years’ experience in Hairdressing. During this time Lauren has also been raising her two incredible young daughters with her husband Matthew.

Lauren is an experienced Stylist who listens to our clients’ needs and wants and educates them in all aspects of Hairdressing from Colouring, cutting, styling and of course is Curly trained.

You will find Lauren at the Salon on Tuesday’s to Friday’s with her bubbly personality and creativity.

Beauty Therapist

Ellen is our Beautician at Shine Hair & Beauty. After graduating from the Diploma in Beauty Therapy in 2019, she has harnessed her skills and loves to pamper and educate all things Beauty to our clients. Since joining the Shine Team, Ellen has completed training in Eyelash Extensions and Lash Lifting and is having amazing results with clients being beyond happy with their treatments.

Ellen is at the Salon Tuesday’s to Saturday’s providing amazing pampering and relaxing treatments that we all require in our busy lifestyles.
